AP3682 – LUTOBO BOERDERY 2022 – SUPPLY AND INSTALL 4 HECTARES DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works, as described, is situated close to Lutzville district. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labour and material. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment.
This project consists of the following elements:
- SUPPLY AND INSTALL TOTAL PUMPROOM IRRIGATION FITTINGS TO THE EXISTING PUMP INSIDE THE PUMP HOUSE AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWING.
- SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF 4HECTARE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM AS INDICATED ON THE ATTACHED DRAWINGS.
- VSD AND ELECTRICAL CABLES INSTALLATION FROM SUPPLY TO JUMP AND VSD STARTER
- PVC FLUSHING PIPES FROM FILTER TO OUTSIDE OF PUMPROOM.
- COMMISSIONING AND TESTING OF THE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
Conditions that may pose a risk:
Sandy and soggy when wet ground conditions can be expected. Security for materials and equipment must be supplied. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.
| CONTRACT PERIOD | The completion period of this service is (Three) 3 months starting from the day of appointment. |
| RETENTION | Retention is 10% of contract sum for 3 months not bearing interest, with no upper limit. |
| PENALTY CLAUSE | The penalty R 500.00 per calendar day will be applied for late completion of works. |
| SUB CONTRACTING Bidder to complete sub-contracting section on CBD 5 if applicable.

Under CIDB Practice note 7 of 2007, one of the following subcontracting will apply:
1. Domestic subcontractor (appointed by the main contractor at his/her discretion); 2. Nominated subcontractor (nominated by employer which contractor is obliged to appoint as subcontractor) 3. Selected subcontractor (selected by contractor in consultation with employer in terms of requirements of contractor) |
Functional requirements will be used for evaluation, and Preference Points will be awarded for price and B-BBEE status Level of Contribution (80/20) The bidder is responsible to provide Casidra SOC Ltd with an original sworn affidavit or an originally certified B-BBEE certificate.
