TENDER NO: 87/2021 – WATER DISTRIBUTION: MANAGEMENT OF THE WATER BULK NETWORK IN EBENHAESER

This bid is for a management organisation/individual to manage the irrigation water distribution network in Ebenhaeser for a period of 24 months. The person who will be managing the system must have strong technical expertise, as well as have excellent administrative skills, which are necessary to manage a complex bulk water system.

The scope of works will include:

1. Communication with the stakeholders of the Ebenhaeser Bulk Water Network.
2. Communication with landowners, Community Property Association (CPA), Ebenhaeser Water Management Institution (EWMI), Lower Olifants River Water User Association (LORWUA) and the broader Ebenhaeser community.
3. The management of the Ebenhaeser Bulk Water Network.
4. Managing staff – including disciplinary procedures when required.
5. Training staff in how to manage the bulk water system.
6. Financial Management – setting up and presenting annual budgets to the EWMI.
7. Managing debtors and creditors.
8. Establishing an efficient accounting system.
9. Establishing a proper and efficient water management record system.
10. Scheduling and managing maintenance.
11. Managing the distribution of surplus water.
